REVIEW OF
DO ONE THING
BY JULIA SCALISE, DN, PhD
The full title of this helpful book is Do One Thing: Feel Better/Live Better – 31 Easy Tips to Improve Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual Vitality. It is a book everyone can use. Whether you are a health nut, or a disinterested couch potato, this book makes feeling better a cinch.
Author, Julia Scalise, takes the reader through 31 easy self-starters to help boost their vitality. Some ideas are so simple, we wonder why we haven’t thought of them ourselves. But when Dr. Scalise goes deeper and explains the benefit each tip brings to specific problems, and to our overall health, we understand why we need a doctor’s advice. You’ll be surprised at what you learn.
You might think at least some of these steps to feeling and living better would be complicated. As I mentioned earlier, they’re simple. But you can rest assured that the results are not. They’re important and relevant.
For example, did you know that just drinking more water improves all body functions (digestion, circulation, absorption, body temperature, mental clarity, blood purity, tissue and bone cushioning)? I never thought of this. Many of our complex health problems can be eliminated, or at least decreased, if we would only maintain proper hydration.
Another chapter speaks of stepping outside our comfort zones. Dr. Scalise advises that if we feel something is holding us back from experiencing life to its fullest, we should address or confront our fears. When we do, whether in large or small steps, life will be much happier and richer.
If you want to live fit and serene, this book is for you. I highly recommend it.
