FIREPROOF DVD

I couldn’t wait until this movie came out on DVD. I love the idea of its demonstrating how to “fireproof” a marriage. Not to mention that I like Kirk Cameron’s acting, and have ever since his Growing Pains days.

In Fireproof, fire captain, Caleb Holt, played by Kirk Cameron, finds that he has earned the respect of everyone in his community except his wife (played by Erin Bethea). They can’t be in the same room together without arguing, and decide they both want out of the marriage. But Caleb’s father issues a challenge. He sends Caleb a book he’s handwritten containing Biblical truths that will help him work daily toward healing his marriage. Once Caleb makes the commitment, will he be able to save his marriage before it’s too late?

This movie is entertaining, and offers a powerful message. It’s a great tool for couples looking to strengthen their marriages. Despite a slight corniness, and one or two scenes that did nothing to move the story forward, I highly recommend it.
