REVIEW OF
THIS TIME FOR KEEPS
By K. DAWN BYRD
I enjoy reading a really good, sweet romance, and This Time for Keeps is just that.
The story begins with the engagement of India McGuire to David Richards. India and David live in the small town where they grew up, and where everyone knows everybody else’s business. But a knock at the door interrupts their intimate celebration, and it turns out to be India’s long lost love, Chase Porter. Chase had left town years ago at the peak of his and India’s relationship and joined the military. Now he’s back in town, and he wants India back.
India still has feelings for Chase that she can’t seem to shake. But David demonstrates a stability that she knows won’t disappoint her the way Chase’s wanderlust did. Should she marry a man she’s not sure she loves? Or should she give Chase a second chance?
The plot drew me in from the start and the characters were realistically portrayed, so that my emotions were engaged from the beginning of the story. There was even a little unexpected twist at the end. K. Dawn Byrd is an up and coming author with several books already released, and a recently signed 3-book YA contract. She’s one busy lady, and her work pays off for her readership. For those who like sweet romance, this is a book you’ll want to be sure and read.
