REVIEW OF
IN PLAIN SIGHT
BY
MICHELLE SUTTON
This e-book ARC was provided to me by Michelle Sutton (thank you!). In Plain Sight is the sequel to Danger at the Door. It’s the story of Bojan Trajkovski’s sister, Jovana.
After escaping a dangerous and damaging relationship in Macedonia, Jovana moves to America under the protection of her older brother, and makes a living as a waitress at his restaurant. While working there, she meets a charming man who shows great interest in her. Jovana finds him very attractive, tries to fight it, and loses the battle. Won over, she determines to see him, even though her boss, Randy Strong, advises her against it.
Randy had promised Bojan that he would look out for his sister, but the task can sometimes prove difficult. Especially when she doesn’t heed his warnings that the guy isn’t what he seems. While Randy is falling for Jovana himself, he must be on his best behavior. But Jovana doesn’t make it easy, as she offers herself to him at every turn, and doesn’t even know why.
Stuck between his feelings for Jovana and his promise to her brother, Randy is at a loss as to how he can help—until the Lord impresses upon him to do something that could turn out to be a lifetime disaster.
I loved this book, and knew I would, considering the author. Michelle Sutton’s work has yet to disappoint me. She tackles tough subjects head-on, and never backs down. Despite the seriousness of the subject matter of
In Plain Sight, the story is a fast-paced, fun read. I credit the characters, in part; they’re strong, feisty and colorful. The story line satisfies, too, and Michelle always provides something fresh. I highly recommend
In Plain Sight.
