RREVIEW OF
PRAYER OF PETITION
BY JERRY SAVELLE
When we come up against trouble in this world, as Christians, we pray—and we want answers to those prayers. But, sometimes, we don’t know how to pray and get results. The Bible shows us many instances of petitioning prayer that produced miracles.
In Prayer of Petition, Jerry Savelle guides you into discovering this powerful prayer, and also teaches biblical definitions of petition and supplication, along with the components of preparation, thanksgiving and humility.
As I studied this book, I was amazed at the things I learned from Savelle, which he backs up with Scripture. The author writes as someone who has experienced the concept himself, and makes it easy for readers to understand. I found myself highlighting lots of passages I want to remember. Here’s an example”
“If you are ever going to experience the fullness of God, if you are ever
going to experience the answer to your Prayer of Petition, if you are
ever going to see God work in your life to turn seemingly impossible
situations around, then you are going to have to rid yourself of
negative thoughts and start believing that what God says is true.”
If you want to see lots of answered prayer in your life, I believe this book can help. I, for one, will be applying the elements Savelle points out to my own situations. Let’s see what happens!
