REVIEW OF
LEARNING TO TRUST
BY MICHELLE SUTTON
This fourth installment in the Sacred Vows series by Michelle Sutton has most of the characters dealing with trust issues, as you can tell by the title. That is certainly a natural progression in the lives of anyone who lives through the situations in which they have previously found themselves. As always, this author is right on point with the circumstances, action and reaction of her characters.
In Learning to Trust, we see Hope dealing with a new love interest who is eight years her junior. Her son, Jimmy, is married to the woman expecting his child, but he still struggles with homosexuality. Tony, Hope’s ex-lover, and the man she had an affair with in the first book, has finally found true love and settled down, but his new wife has fertility issues.
Michelle’s familiar writing style flows easily, and brings to life the raw reality of living with the consequences of our mistakes. She pulls no punches with authenticity of character actions, feelings, and emotions.
A WORD OF CAUTION: As with the other three novels in the series, the content in Learning to Trust can be a little steamy for those readers who are sensitive to such elements. But then again, another factor that lends to the story’s authenticity.
If you like fast-paced romances that depict real life and real people, and are not offended by the sensuality factor, you will thoroughly enjoy Learning to Trust. Especially if you are one of Michelle Sutton’s devoted followers. Believe me.
