REVIEW OF
A SILENT TERROR
BY
Lynette Eason
I could always trust Steeple Hill’s Love Inspired line to produce the best books. A Silent Terror by Lynette Eason is no exception. I was enthralled by the first sentence, and remained so throughout the entire book.
In A Silent Terror, deaf teacher, Marianna Santino’s roommate is murdered right in the house the two of them share. No one can figure out the motive, not even Detective Ethan O’Hara. Several more incidences occur before they realize Marianna is the intended target. Does she have something the killer wants?
During the course of the investigation, Ethan and Marianna get to know each other and share a strong attraction. But Ethan keeps telling himself he shouldn’t get involved with a victim in his case. Especially since circumstances from his past caused two people to die; one of them being his sister. Soon, Marianna’s beauty, fierce independence and faith draw him, until he’s willing to risk everything to put an end to her terror.
I love the way Lynette incorporated the deaf element into the development of Marianna. Very fresh, not clichéd. The story moved at the pace of a speeding bullet, holding me captive from beginning to end. Lovers of romantic suspense, and especially of Love Inspired books, will not want to miss this one!
