REVIEW OF
DIGITALIS
BY RONIE KENDIG
If you are a regular visitor of this Web site, you know I love Ronie Kendig’s writing style. Digitalis is no exception.
Colton Neeley was a Marine sniper who is now a part of the Nighshade special ops team. He is haunted by the many things that have happened throughout his military career, and personally: Innocents who’ve been killed, his former partner, his sister . . . While he is guilt-ridden, flashbacks continue to haunt him. However, besides his daughter, McKenna, as the one bright spot in his life, he has developed an interest in a beautiful and mysterious woman named Piper Blum.
Piper has a few ghosts in her closet, too. Although she works in a department store, things are not what they seem.
As the two begin to care for each other deeply, secrets and lies come between them, forming tiny cracks in the foundation they’d built their relationship on. But a fatal attack caused by Piper’s presence creates a chasm between them that neither one is sure can be repaired.
Against his better judgment, Colton finds himself caught up in an operation involving Piper’s Israeli father, and doesn’t know if he can trust her anymore. Can their love survive this dangerous mission? Can they?
As with the previous installment in this series (Nitghtshade), Digitalis is an action-packed thrill ride. Ronie Kendig develops her characters in a way that makes the reader feel they’ve known and cared about them forever. You feel their pain, their joy, their anxiety, and every other emotion they experience. I’m going to go out on a very strong limb, here, and recommend that readers pick up every book that releases in this series . . . and beyond.
