REVIEW OF
FROM GLAMOUR TO GLORY
BY ELAINE CAMPANELLI SANTO
I rarely get to review memoirs, but I’m glad I did this one. From Glamour to Glory tells the story of Elaine Campanelli Santo, a former Miss Delaware and contestant in the Miss America Pageant. Here is the back cover blurb:
“Through many obstacles and her faith in God, a fatherless, underprivileged young girl lived out her dream by escaping the clutches of poverty and advancing herself to the Miss America Pageant. Elaine reveals her miraculous healing and continued trust in God’s faithfulness through this life-altering account of His loving intervention and plan for her life.”
Elaine Santo writes candidly, knowledgeably of the Word, and reveals herself as a true vessel used by God. Her very heart for the Lord shines through on every page. We see her overcome each roadblock the enemy puts before her, and cheer along with her in all the victories. This is a woman who uncompromisingly lives her life the way God intended for all of us.
If you like Cinderella-type stories, you’ll love this true telling of one of the Lord’s most accomplished daughters.
