ONE MILLION MOMS
BY DEBORAH M. PICCURELLI
I want to tell you about an organization of which I am a proud member, and that you may like to join, too. It is called OneMillionMoms.com. Their goal is to stop the exploitation of our children, especially by the entertainment media (TV, music, movies, etc.). They are a powerful tool that helps us stand against the immorality, violence, vulgarity, and profanity being thrown at our children today.
This group is searching for one million moms who are willing to fight for our children. There is no charge to join, and you don’t even have to be a mom. All are welcome, even singles. As a member, you agree to participate in at least one project per week. They make it very easy to be heard by providing everything you need.
If you go to the website and check out the Successes page, you’ll find such worthy triumphs as:
- “All My Babies’ Mamas” dropped from Oxygen and NBCU
- “666 Park Avenue” series cancelled by ABC
- ABC axes GCB (Good Christian B****hes)
- Jenny Craig no longer to air commercials on ABC Family Channel
- MTV cancels “Skins.”
- Chuck E. Cheese ensures their ads no longer run during ABC Family Channel’s “Pretty Little Liars.”
I know this seems like an advertisement for this hard-working group, but if you think what they do is a worthwhile cause to spend a few minutes of your time per week participating in, please consider joining, and fight the good fight!
Remember, www.OneMillionMoms.com.
