Thank you, Paula Mowery for nominating me for Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award.
Here are the rules:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.
2. Put the Award logo on your blog.
3. Answer 10 questions you've been sent.
4. Make up 10 new questions for your nominees to answer.
Here are the questions I was sent and my answers:
What is something you would count as a "success" from this past year?
My new inspirational romance novella e-book releasing next month, thanks to my editor, Paula Mowery, having faith in my work.
Who has had the biggest influence on your life?
I don’t mean to sound trite, because this is the truth, but the Lord has had the biggest influence on my life. Who better to learn from, gain wisdom from, receive love from?
What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Be slow to speak. There’s nothing worse than firing off words I’ll later regret.
If you could have a week to retreat, where would you go and what would you do?
I would like to take a writer’s retreat. I’ve never been on one, and it wouldn’t matter where, as long as I could write for hours at a time without a care in the world.
Looking back on this year, what are five things you are especially thankful for?
- For all the new things I’ve learned.
- For ever-deepening friendships.
- For new people I’ve come in contact with, whether physically or virtually.
- For the publication of my upcoming book release.
- For God’s unfailing love.
What is one lesson you feel you learned this past year?
To be patient while waiting on the Lord and not give up if something I’m waiting for doesn’t happen quickly.
If there were no limits, what is one goal you would like to achieve this year?
No Limits? I would like to finish a few projects I have begun researching and making notes on, this year, instead of it taking the normally several years.
What is one Bible verse that is special to you and why?
Jeremiah 33:3
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
This verse is special to me, because I have a hunger to know everything about God and anything He has for me to know.
Do you make New Year's resolutions? Why or why not?
I just had this on the homepage of my website for January! It’s gone, now, but, no, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. I feel that if there’s something that needs changing in my life, I shouldn’t wait until a new year begins to do it.
Do you set goals for yourself in your spiritual life? Give an example.
I never thought of it in those terms, but I do want to reach the heights that God has set forth for us in His Word. Whatever He says I am, or I have, or what I can do, that’s what I want for myself. I believe it pleases Him when we aspire to receive His promises.
Here are my nominees and their questions:
MaryAnn Diorio, Pam Halter, Mary Dolan Flaherty, Michelle Sutton, Carole Brown, Johnnie Alexander, Joy Avery Melville, Margaret Lukasik, Deb Ullrick, and Ane Mulligan.
- Did you reach any of the goals you set for yourself in 2014?
- What do you hope to accomplish in 2015, whether in your writing, or life in general?
- What do you consider your biggest accomplishment ever?
- What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?
- Is there anyone in your life you consider a mentor?
- If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
- What is your favorite season of the year?
- Do you feel you are doing exactly what you thought you’d be doing at this point in your life?
- If you knew there was one thing the world should be informed on, what would it be?
- Given the condition of the world, at this point, what would you tell brand new parents is the most important thing they should know?
Thanks again to Paula for nominating me.
